More photos for the album....

It might have been broadcast, photographed, talked of and written about in the media, but it was still an event for family and friends. Some more photos for the family album:

1. John and Susan Donaldson enter the church after being greeted by Chief of the Crown Princely Couple's Court, Per Thornit. Thornit greeted everyone as they entered, before taking his place with all other members of the couple's staff as guests at the christening.
2. Grandad Prince Henrik holds Nikolai and Prince Joachim holds Felix before the family leaves the church on the way to the reception 'next door' in Christiansborg Slotskirke.
3. Well rugged up, the Queen and Prince Consort leave the church.
4. Not so well rugged, John and Susan Donaldson follow.
5. Then along come Mary's older sister Jane Stephens and Mary's middle sister Patricia Bailey.
6. Crown Prince Philippe and Crown Princess Mathilde of Belgium.
7. Princess Alexandra leaves church with sons Nikolai and Felix.
8. Weather shot: lucky John Donaldson's tie is attached to his neck and hang on to the hat Susan!
9. Mum smiles, Nikolai is glad to get inside and Felix is being very good despite being under the weather!
10. Mary's friend Amber Petty is blown into the church wisely with hand very firmly on hat!
11. Mary's sisters Jane and Patricia ahead of Haakon and Mette-Marit in the procession out of the church after the christening.
12. Patricia and Jane.
13. Friends of Mary and Frederik, Christoffer Castenskiold and Ellen Hillingsø.
14. More friends, Holger Gad Foss and Rose Gad Foss.
15. Three princesses in a row: Princess Alexandra of Berleburg, Princess Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg and Princess Elizabeth, cousin to Margrethe, Benedikte and Anne-Marie.
16. Frederik's brother Prince Joachim with his sons Nikolai and Felix. Frederik is godfather to Nikolai and Joachim godfather to Christian.
17. Patricia, Jane, Nikolai, Felix and Joachim, who is involved in a bit of child wrangling!
18. Mary's hofdame Countess Victoria Bernstorff-Gyldensteen (originally from New Jersey) and her husband Count Frants Erich Bernstorff-Gyldensteen (link Gyldensteen coat of arms). Also link: Estate of Gyldensteen.
19. The Queen and Prince Henrik contend with some emotions during the service (most unusual).
20. While Mary was contending with Christian during the baptism, Joachim also had to contend with a sick Felix. Nice that the two little cousins to Christian were so closely included in the ceremony.
21. An Australian friend, Amber Petty, right, and a Danish friend, Rose Gad Foss, left.
22. All in the family, after the service.
23. King Konstantine, Queen Anne-Marie and Princess Benedikte leaving the church. Princess Benedikte's husband Richard was ill and unable to attend.
24. Prince Joachim with his sons in the procession leaving the church.
25. Rikke Juel and her husband Michael Brandt, clearly part of the baby boom among the royals and Frederik's and Mary's friends, expecting their second child.
26. Julie Mølsgaard.
27. The Queen mops up!

And... Frederik, Mary and Christian arrive back in Fredensborg after the christening in Copenhagen, to be greeted by their fellow townsfolk, before their private evening party which included a dinner with Tasmanian food and wine and a small fireworks display:

Lotte,

Love the website link to the Gyldensteen estate. Even more impressive is their ISO certification! I didn't realize that estates went through this labor intensive qualification process too. Learn something new everyday.

Hi Noelle,
Yeah, I found it interesting too. I'll post a few things on CPMEMB in the Victoria section. Her husband seems to be very well connected, but more than we have explored before :)
